PARASOLL
Parasoll started with a simple thought: what if the vase became part of the lamp?
The concept is designed to sit in a favourite vase, allowing the user to change the expression simply by changing the base. A single light source can take on many identities. Parasoll can also be suspended, creating a different presence while keeping the same soft character.
You can sketch a form.
You can render a surface.
But light has to be experienced.
At ADDI Design Studio we don’t (only) prototype lighting to make it look nice in a photo. We prototype because light is physical. It interacts with space, texture, materiality and the human eye in ways you simply can’t simulate. The glow, the temperature and the shadows all change depending on context, scale and environment.
That’s why our process always includes hands-on building, testing and refining. We want to design products that feel right in real life.
For lighting brands and manufacturers, this approach matters. A well-designed luminaire is more than a beautiful object. The only way to design that experience is to live with it, test it and, quite often, let it teach you something along the way.
