Hive began with one of those archetypes: the traditional barn light. The curved arm, the protective shade and the glass diffuser below. A simple, honest object that has remained relevant for generations.

Rather than reproducing it, we rethought its logic. By replacing the conventional light source with an integrated LED plate, the proportions could shift. The glass became flatter, calmer and more geometric. The result is a lighter, more refined expression while retaining the recognisable qualities of the original archetype.

From this starting point, Hive naturally expanded into a small family of luminaires — including wall-mounted, suspended and bollard versions — forming a coherent system adaptable to different environments.

Hive is currently developed as a work in progress and is looking for the right manufacturing partner.

Some ideas find a home immediately. Others need time, context and the right partner to become reality. We believe Hive is one of them.
